We'll do the old familiar "Friendly Freo" with the usual
obligatory coffee stop (in Fremantle). We'll have the usual Maylands
Railway Station start at 8:00 am then hook up at the Narrows. The ride
will start from the Narrows Bridge (North Side - where the bike path
goes under the freeway bridge) at 8:30 am.

If you're looking for a good well looked after second hand mountain bike then they probably won't come better than this....
Amy Taylor (nee Cartwright) is one of the founders of the Ride_Group and she really looks after her bikes well. She has a Specialized Stumpjumper, full XT "with heaps of red bling" for sale. It comes with Mavic Crosstrail wheel set – or your choice of brand new (unused) DT Swiss Specialized wheel set. And has brand new tyres, forks are Fox terraLogic (brain system with automatic lock out) and is a medium frame size. $1,000 ("Cheap as").

when I saw that there was an organised event involving cycling the hills of
Banks Peninsula I knew I just had to do it one day. What could be better for an
aging ex-racer than to participate in a hilly cycle race in one of my favourite
places? Apart from anything else, the demands of the race route meant I would
need to do some training to get myself fit enough to meet the challenge. Some
of my competitive spirit, happily neglected for many years, had reignited
within me."
